About Vellumora
Where Data Awareness Begins With Considered Learning
Vellumora was founded to close a practical gap — the space between regulatory frameworks and the daily habits of people who work with data in ordinary office settings.

A Kuala Lumpur Practice Built Around Office Reality
Vellumora grew from a straightforward observation: most organisations that handle personal data have staff who interact with it daily — in spreadsheets, email threads, printed documents, shared drives — yet rarely have access to structured, approachable learning materials to help them do so thoughtfully. Awareness sessions are either too short to be useful or too abstract to connect to day-to-day work.
We set out to build something different. Each programme we offer is written and delivered with the ordinary office worker in mind — the HR administrator, the customer service team, the accounts coordinator — not the compliance specialist. The language is clear, the examples are familiar, and the format is designed to hold attention without demanding that participants rearrange their schedules.
Our base in Mont Kiara, Kuala Lumpur, means we work primarily with Malaysian organisations — and our materials reflect the kinds of workflows, file-handling habits, and team structures common in this context. When we run in-company sessions, we adapt the examples to the client's sector before we arrive.
Vellumora does not offer legal or compliance services. We are an educational resource and general operational consultancy. Organisations with specific obligations should engage qualified advisors for those matters — our programmes are designed to support and complement that professional guidance, not replace it.
Our Mission
"To make data awareness part of ordinary working life — accessible, contextual, and worth returning to."
Our Values
- Clarity. Materials written in plain language, without assuming prior knowledge.
- Context. Examples drawn from real office scenarios, adapted per client.
- Continuity. Annual programmes that build habits over time, not just one-off events.
- Candour. Honest about what we do and do not provide.

How We Work
Programme Quality Standards
Plain-Language Writing Standard
All materials are reviewed against a plain-language checklist before publication. We aim for readability at the level of a general office audience, not a specialist one.
Annual Content Review Cycle
Course modules and template documents are reviewed each year. Where the operating environment in Malaysia has shifted, materials are updated before the next delivery cycle.
Pre-Session Scoping
Before every in-company session, a brief scoping call with the organiser is held to understand the team's sector and day-to-day data touchpoints. Content is adjusted accordingly.
Participant Data Handling
Participant details collected during session registration are held only for programme administration purposes and are not shared with third parties or used for marketing.
Post-Session Feedback
A short feedback questionnaire is distributed after each session. Themes from responses feed into content refinement and are included in quarterly reports for annual programme clients.
Written Engagement Summary
Every in-company session concludes with a written memo summarising key points covered and group discussion themes, distributed to the organiser within a few working days.
Our Approach
Educational Materials for Everyday Data Handling
The challenge most organisations face is not a shortage of policy documents — it is a gap between those documents and what staff actually do when they receive an unfamiliar data request, share a file with a supplier, or need to store personal information for a short period. Filling that gap requires patient, practical education rather than another compliance document filed and forgotten.
Vellumora's programmes are built around this observation. The self-study course is structured as a series of readable chapters rather than a linear lecture. The half-day session creates space for groups to surface and discuss their own data touchpoints — the specific file-sharing tools, storage habits, and communication channels their team already uses — rather than working only from hypothetical scenarios.
The annual programme extends this further, weaving awareness into the organisation's onboarding calendar and providing a structured reporting record that HR and operations leaders can reference in their broader internal planning.
Everything we develop is produced with Malaysian office contexts in mind. The vocabulary, the workflow examples, and the document templates are shaped by the kinds of organisations and roles that make up the majority of our client engagements. We do not offer a generic international product adapted for local use — we start from local office reality.
